One of the urban ministries we have been partnering with for almost 28 years is the Whosoever Gospel Mission. This mission has been functioning as a Christian nonprofit organization since 1892. They are located in the Germantown area of Philadelphia. Their purpose is to provide shelter, food, clothing, education, counseling, rehabilitation and other assistance to the homeless and/or needy men, women and their families. In addition to the light of Christ’s love that shines out of each person serving there, there is a lighted sign on their roof that says, “Jesus Never Fails”, that sends the message to all who see it that there is Hope here through the Gospel in both word and deed to those who are hurting.

In addition to the dates listed below for the first half of 2026, in August there will be dates posted to take us through the remainder of the year. The purpose of this is to let other know when we will be going to the mission to serve by leading worship, bringing the Word of God and having some fellowship time with the Men and Women at chapel. “HEART’S SONG” we were with the men leading their evening Chapel on  Sunday, October 5, November 2, & December 7, 2025. We’ll be back with them ushering them into God’s presence with worship on February 1, March 1, March 29, and May 3, at 4:30 p.m. Pastor Bob will be sharing an inspirational message from God’s Word, with many testimonies from the men as to how the Lord has blessed them.  After chapel we will be sharing a meal with them at the mission. We also work closely with the Helping Hand Rescue Mission that has been ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ to the homeless and needy of Springarden section of Philadelphia since 1905. This Rescue Mission supplies meals, clothing and hygiene items, along with chapels and weekly Bible studies. They serve the Homeless of Philadelphia with both Physical and Spiritual food daily. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they have made some adjustment as to how they minister to these struggling men and women, but they persevered and never stopped being a “Lighthouse Of Hope” to the hopeless. Adam Bruckner (Executive Director) continues to think of new ways to address this old disability during these difficult times. Their mission verse is: Matthew 25:35-36 “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

R.P.M. Ministries and “Heart’s Song” Praise Band will be picking up our ministry with the mission in 2024. We’ll be publishing dates as soon as they are scheduled. The date will be posted in the near future as to when we will be serving at the mission. We also partner with Pastor Juan Merrara at CROSSROADS Community Center, which has been a Christian haven to many families in the surrounding communities of this area of North Philly since 1965. The mission is a Christian organization located in the Fairhill section of  Philadelphia, located at 6th Street and Indiana Avenue. This area has been given the nickname “The Badlands”, but through their Jesus Training and opportunities they’re helping to re-name it, “GOD’S LAND”!

They offer for the children and youth, after school clubs, youth ministry, worship, summer camp, sports teams and other needs as they arise. There is an orientation center for new residents in the area, As they minister to the young people they give them guidance in service projects for many people in their neighborhoods. This ministry means a lot to the those who use it, and it means a lot to the neighborhood. God is using this organization in a mighty way. R.P.M. Ministries has worked closely with Crossroads and will be posting dates for the 2023 when we will be heading there a few Saturdays to help them clean and repair the additional building the mission has purchased to expand their indoor ministries and outdoors outreaches to the community.  May God continue to bless this “Labor Of Love”.
